Founded in 1987, the Barrhaven Ladies Softball Association (BLSA) has proudly offered more than three decades of organized, recreational orthodox softball for women. Building a vibrant, welcoming community of over 150 players, aged from 19 to 50+.

As a unregistered organization run by a dedicated volunteer Executive Committee, BLSA empowers women of all backgrounds and skill levels to enjoy softball in a welcoming, inclusive environment. The Committee coordinates operations and reports to members through team captains at regular meetings each season.

Each year, our season begins in early May and runs through mid-September, culminating in a tournament — with games played Monday through Thursday evenings at Ken Ross Park in Barrhaven. We follow Softball Canada rules (with minor modifications for our league), ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone. Our season wraps up with an October banquet; a celebration of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the friendships forged on the diamond.
